March 2026 Update

Dear Pinetree Neighbors,

Your Pinetree Civic Association (PCA) board is pleased to provide you with an update on several neighborhood initiatives and recent developments.

PCA Annual Meeting

The 2026 PCA Annual Meeting will be held on May 14 at The Pinetree Country Club.   Doors will open at 6:00 PM and we will start at 6:30 PM.   We are thrilled to announce that our guest speaker for this year’s meeting will be Kennesaw Mayor Derek Easterling. Mayor Easterling will be delivering a "State of the City - 2026" presentation.  With over a decade of leadership, the Mayor will share exciting updates on Kennesaw's transformation—from the latest developments in our downtown entertainment district to upcoming infrastructure projects that directly impact our community. Whether you’re curious about new local dining spots like Reformation Brewery or want to hear about the city’s 10-year vision for growth and walkability, this is your chance to get the inside scoop and engage directly with the heart of Kennesaw’s leadership. To ensure a focused dialogue, we invite attendees to submit questions at the registration desk upon arrival for consideration during the Q&A session. You won't want to miss it!

SeeClickFix

Our use of SeeClickFix continues to expand. As a reminder, SeeClickFix is a powerful communication platform that allows residents to report non-emergency neighborhood issues directly to county officials with photos and GPS locations. While many of our entries have focused on potholes and asphalt damage, members have also successfully reported curb and gutter issues, damaged storm drain covers, downed yield signs, litter, and debris. It is also an effective way to flag clogged catch basins, roadway flooding, or even request new signage. Cobb County has been consistently quick and responsive to all items entered in this unique application. If you have not yet explored SeeClickFix, we highly recommend downloading the app to your smartphone and giving it a try!

Speed Hump Timing Update

Following our January update, we are pleased to confirm that eleven new speed humps have been officially approved by the Cobb County Department of Transportation (DOT) to enhance the safety and walkability of our streets. While we previously shared a tentative implementation window of Spring 2026, the Cobb County DOT has provided a revised timeline of mid-to-late Summer 2026.

Our specific installations have been folded into a significantly larger county-wide infrastructure project that includes both speed mitigation and essential road repairs. Due to the magnitude and complexity of this broader initiative, the DOT is conducting more extensive planning to ensure the long-term quality of the work. We will continue to monitor the progress and keep you updated as the summer approaches.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or suggestions.   We hope to see you at the annual meeting.
